DECEMBER 28, 2013 SATURDAY MESSAGE

Hebrews 11:3

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

(through the command of God everything in the universe was formed out of the invisible)

Psalm 31:24

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

(this is the advise to those who hope in God, that we have strong faith and should not lose heart as we hope in God)

Isaiah 40:29

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

(God is the one who strengthens the weary and empowers the weak)

Psalm 91:4

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

(To those whom God loves, He will protect. God is faithful. He will shield those whom He loves)

1 John 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love.

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

(Love is the principal virtue of God, and is the identifying virtue of God. Therefore, those who love identifies with God)

Romans 12:9

Love must be sincere.

Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

(Love requires us to cling to what is good and to hate what is evil. Therefore, love is good)

Jeremiah 13:16

Give glory to the LORD your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills.

You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom.

(before we grow old, let us give glory to God.

When we grow old, our vision will dim, and the light we see grows dim with age, and then it will happen that we will approach our inevitable end- which is death.

Before this happens, we are advised to give glory to God, while we are not yet old, and not yet nearing our end.

God should not be the last of our priorities, but our first.

For everything we are and we have, we owe to God)

To God be the glory.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

MESSAGE RECEIVED IN MEDITATION:

ALL OF LIFE IS MEANINGLESS IN THE END.

LIFE IN GOD AND BASED ON LOVE IS THE ONLY MEANINGFUL LIFE WE CAN HAVE.

LIFE WITHOUT REASON IS NOT LIFE AT ALL BUT JUST EXISTENCE.

EXPLANATION:

ALL OF LIFE IS MEANINGLESS IN THE END

WHY?

IN THE END, WE WILL DIE, AND ALL WE HAVE WORKED FOR, AND INVESTED ON THIS EARTH WILL BE LOST FROM US.

IN DEATH, WE BECOME SEPARATED FROM OUR LOVED ONES, OUR PROPERTIES, AND ALL WE HOLD DEAR.

NO AMOUNT OF MONEY CAN BUY US TIME NOR LIFE EXTENSION IN THIS WORLD.

LIFE IN GOD AND BASED ON LOVE IS THE ONLY MEANINGFUL LIFE WE CAN HAVE.

LIFE IN GOD MEANS LIVING THE WILL OF GOD.

THE WILL OF GOD HAS ONE PRIMARY COMMANDMENT:

LOVE

IF WE LIVE TO LOVE AND EXPRESS LOVE FOR OTHERS AND FOR GOD, THE PURPOSE OF GOD IN CREATING US IS FULFILLED, WHICH IS:

1
TO GLORIFY OUR CREATOR
(THROUGH DOING THE WILL OF GOD- WHICH IS LOVE, WE GLORIFY GOD)

2
TO DO GOD'S WILL
(WHICH IS BASED ON THE COMMANDMENT OF LOVE)

THUS, OUR LIVES WILL NOT BE IN VAIN IN LIVING A LIFE ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL, WHICH IS CENTERED ON LOVE.

LIFE WITHOUT REASON IS NOT LIFE AT ALL BUT JUST EXISTENCE.

IF WE LIVE WITHOUT ANY PURPOSE, WE ARE AT LOST.

IF WE LIVE SIMPLY TO SURVIVE, WHAT DIFFERENCE DO WE HAVE FROM ANIMALS?

NONE.

LIVING THIS WAY WILL NOT GIVE MEANING TO OUR LIVES.

THUS, IT MEANS THAT ONE EXISTS, BUT DOES NOT LIVE.

WHEN WE LIVE, IT MEANS THAT WE EXIST FOR A PURPOSE, AND WE WORK AND ACT ACCORDING TO THAT PURPOSE.

WHAT GREATER PURPOSE CAN WE LIVE FOR BUT LOVE?

LOVING GOD ABOVE ALL

LOVING OTHERS AS WE LOVE OURSELVES.

BOTH ARE CENTERED ON LOVE.

THEREFORE, MAY WE LIVE ON LOVE, AND MAY WE BE ABLE TO RESIST THE DEMON OF HATE, ANGER, REVENGE, FURY, AND ALL THAT IS EVIL INSIDE US.

ONLY GOOD CONQUERS EVIL.

MAY WE CONQUER THE EVIL IN US THROUGH THE DAILY EXERCISE OF LOVE.

GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

except the continuing debt to love one another,
for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
